Wings Over Wairarapa

Wings Over Wairarapa Air Festival has a new date of Friday 24 to Sunday 26 November (having been impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle last summer). An air festival like no other with Wairarapa scenery providing a stunning backdrop, the festival delivers 3 days of spectacular flying.

Held in Masterton every two years, the festival is a firm favourite, drawing crowds of flight fans and families with its aircraft displays by rare vintage and military aircraft, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays, and much more.

The Take Flight Programme, an interactive STEM education programme, provides engaging activities and demonstrations for school aged children each day. The aim is to inspire and engage rangatahi to consider STEM pathways, with a focus on aviation and aerospace.

Tickets for Wings, a bonus event for Spring are on sale now. Get your tickets here now!

The Vintage Aviator aircraft collection based at Hood Aerodrome in Masterton is the largest flying collection of WWI aircraft in the world. Many of these aircraft can only be seen at Hood Aerodrome and feature prominently in the flying programme and displays so you can get up close to see them!
