Martinborough Music Festival is excited to present four fabulous concerts this Spring, over the weekend Friday 22 to Sunday 24 September 2023 at the Martinborough Town Hall.

Check out the concert programme here, and the artists here - including performers from Australia, UK, Germany, and of course NZ!

This year, wind instruments will feature prominently, including double-reeds, the bassoon and the oboe, played by NZSO's Principal Oboe Robert Orr, and Todd Gibson-Cornish Principal Bassoon of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

These double-reed superstars play a wide variety of virtuosic masterworks for their instrument, including Mozart's beloved Oboe Quartet and an exciting work for bassoon and string quartet incorporating classical and jazz dance elements, Meeelaan, by famous jazz trumpeter/composer, Winton Marsalis.

Two new New Zealand works will be presented at this years Festival - Mata-Au for string trio by Salina Fisher on the Saturday afternoon, and on the Sunday morning, a new work for bassoon and string quartet that has been generously gifted to the Festival by Dunedin composer, Anthony Ritchie.

Earlybird tickets are available to subscribers on 1 June (subscribe here), and general sales on 1 July 2023.
