The Greytown Hotel Restaurant

The Top Pub, Greytown

This historic pub is the perfect place for a quiet afternoon pint or alternatively a great night out in Greytown. Publican Tony Murphy is a mix of Irish and Kiwi having spent his formative years in Cork and Dublin learning the trade of pouring pints and telling good stories.

Situated on Main Street, it's the town's oldest surviving hotel - built around 1859. Popular with locals, Greytown's 'Top Pub' is a great place to stay, eat and relax and hosts regular live music, pub quizzes and comedy.

The hotel has become known for fine dining in their '1860 Restaurant'. The chefs shop at local markets, butchers and fish merchants to bring market fresh and seasonal dishes to your table. All dishes are prepared from start to finish in the kitchen and Chefs Mike ( originally from Austria) and Alejandra (from Chile) incorporate techniques and cooking styles they have learned during their travels, alongside Irish/Kiwi owners Tony and Ursula.

The Greytown Hotel is a flexible event space for hosting functions, meetings and small conferences, with The Board Room able to host up to 30 people .

True to its name, Greytown Hotel offers traditional country hotel accommodation, with 4 rooms sleeping up to 8 people and two shared bathrooms.
